
The Salaam Cultural Museum (SCM) is a charitable non-profit organization formed in February 1996 to gather and publish information on the Middle East and North Africa) and to promote understanding of the people, cultures, languages, religions, and lands of this region.
The Salaam Cultural Museum is based in Seattle, Washington, USA. Its twin activities are to exhibit artifacts from the MENA region and to inform and engage the public about the MENA region through lectures and other public events.
In addition to providing exhibits of artifacts from the Middle East and North Africa, in the past SCM has sponsored lectures by experts from the MENA region and from the United States. SCM has presented movies by filmmakers from the region and has sponsored folklore evenings.
