The mission of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce is to “build economic bridges.” The Chamber promotes, assists and strengthens member businesses, both in the domestic and international arenas. The Chamber provides business referrals, member promotion, networking events, educational seminars, information exchange through newsletters and other publications, group health insurance, and many other benefits and services. The Chamber also serves as the voice of its members with lawmakers, governmental agencies and local entities.

In 1989 a core group of Arab American business individuals laid the groundwork for the Chamber, but it was not until September 1992 that they charted a bold new course that eventually led to the founding of the Chamber. That same spirit, buoyed by the vision and leadership of the Chamber, has made the Arab American business community one of the most economically and culturally affluent communities in Michigan and the nation. Demographics place Michigan's Arab Americans above the national average in education, per capita income, employment and business ownership. The dynamic spirit that drives that data also serves as the foundation of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, the largest Arab American business organization in the country.
