ArteEast’s Virtual Gallery aims to create an on-line presence for emerging and mid-career artists working within the Middle East and/or its diasporas. Its goal is to increase the visibility of artists from the Middle East in the United States, and to promote critical discussion of their work and the issues it raises. Every three months, an advisory board comprised of international artists, critics, and scholars selects one artist whose work is featured on ArteEast’s website. Artists can visit the site to learn how to submit work for consideration.

ArteEast, Inc. was established in 2003 to exhibit the works of artists and filmmakers from the Middle East and its diasporas. ArteEast offers a unique multicultural approach to covering a wide spectrum of Middle Eastern artists and viewpoints rather than focusing solely on artists and projects from one nation, ethnicity or region.
